City Of Bozeman Logo

Identity

Someone had to say it: If Montana could trademark its best, most attractive, most visited, most favored town, Bozeman would be it. To that end, Massive's proposal for the City of Bozeman's brand family was direct and simple: a color scheme visually representative of the focus of each department — verdant green and vibrant blue representing the valley and Big Sky Country for the city; red for the fire department; dark blue for the police department — with a common font and “MT” tying them all together, a clever nod to the trademark symbol. In compliance with the exhaustive regulatory requirements and constraints inherent to government organizations, the brand family is a safe, effective choice that does its job, and well.

Growing Pains

Bozeman is booming. With a dramatic influx of new residents and visitors, the City of Bozeman has struggled to adequately meet the need for first-responder support. Massive spearheaded a rigorous mill levy and bond campaign — including door hangers, 96-foot-tall banners, buttons, social media blasts, print ads, and video content — to garner the votes necessary to expand first-responder staffing apace with community growth.
